You may have noticed
up there in our masthead that I started publishing
my "TeeJay's Tips For Success" e-zine in June of
2000. Now you are probably wondering if I've been
publishing this e-zine for coming up on eight
years, my subscriber base should be way up around
10 or 20 thousand or more, right?
Well, let me tell
why it is not that high, and this may offend you,
and if it does, oh well!
I pride myself on
publishing an e-zine that my subscribers will find
to be an invaluable resource for all kinds of
pertinent information they can use. The only way I
can do this is by getting YOUR comments and/or
feedback on what kind of information you are
seeking.
If I don't get any
comments and/or suggestions or feedback from you,
then I have no way of knowing what kind of
information you want me to publish. So, to put it
in very plain and simple words, in order to remain
one of my subscribers, you must be an active
subscriber.
I've installed some
tracking mechanisms on my e-zine website and in
the e-mails I send out to my subscribers and I
know who is actually opening and reading my
e-mails and who is actually going to the e-zine
page and really spending a little time reading my
e-zine.
I also monitor my
incoming e-mails very closely and I totally enjoy
working with my subscribers in a one-on-one basis
to help them solve a problem or just by giving
them a little bit of extra help or answering their
questions.
Every three months,
like clock work, I go over my list of current
subscribers and delete the ones that I've never
heard from since they originally subscribed to my
list. So, to put it bluntly, I only publish my e-zine
for those subscribers on my mailing list that are
actually reading it and responding with their
comments and/or suggestions.
I'm a member of a
couple of e-zine ad co-ops like Theresa Cahill's
MyWizardAds and also EzineAd.net. I get several
potential subscribers from those two co-ops in my
inbox almost every day. Both of these ad co-ops
have a requirement that they have to subscribe to
my mailing list before their ad will be published
in my e-zine.
A majority of these
potential subscribers are what I call, "One Shot
Wonders". They are under the impression that all
they have to do to make a ton of bucks is run an
ad in some e-zines and the entire world will flock
to their sales page and buy their product.
So, and here comes
the kicker, if you are a "One Shot Wonder" and you
are only subscribing to my mailing list to get
your one little ad published in my e-zine and have
no intention of becoming an active subscriber,
please do not waste your time or mine.
Now that may sound
just a bit on the harsh side but in the field of
Internet marketing, it is a proven fact that
people must be exposed to your ad at least a
minimum of 7 to 10 times before they will even
click on your link to go to your sales page.
I can not for the life
of me understand why people continually throw good
hard earned cash down the toilet week after week
purchasing paid advertising in these ad co-ops and
then wonder why they are not getting any response
to their advertising.
Here at TeeJay
Enterprises, you have many opportunities to obtain
FREE advertising via my TeeJay Tips For Success e-zine.
For starters, there is a bi-weekly contest in
every edition you can enter to win a FREE ad in a
special position very near the top of the e-zine
for some special attention.
I also run at least
one or more "Contest Solo Ads" every week in which
you have another opportunity to win a FREE ad just
for opening an e-mail and finding the answer to a
special contest question you'll find at the bottom
of the ad copy.
The contest solo ad
winners ad is also placed very near the top of the
e-zine for a little better exposure.
Also, every subscriber
is entitled to one FREE ad per edition that will
be placed in my "Opportunities Unlimited
Classified Ads" section.
So, as you can plainly
see, if you are one of those "One Shot Wonders",
you are wasting your time and mine by subscribing
to my mailing list just to get your one little ad
published in my e-zine one time.
Instead of throwing
your good hard earned down the toilet every week,
or however often you purchase paid advertising, by
purchasing paid advertising in an ad co-op and
becoming known as a "One Shot Wonder", why not
take advantage of all of the FREE advertising I
offer to each and every one of my subscribers.
I would also like to
point out that here at TeeJay Enterprises, we also
offer some very reasonable rates for the various
kinds of paid advertising we offer if you are
inclined to spend good hard earned cash on paid
advertising. Just click on that "Advertising
Rates" link over there in the site navigation area
on the left.
I guess it all boils
down to the fact that I only wish to have what I
call "Active Subscribers" on my mailing list. I
want people who are new to Internet marketing to
be able to know they can send me their questions
and they will receive honest, straighforward
answers without a whole bunch of hype and "buy my
products" type of gibberish.
I also only want
people who are going to take an active interest in
what kind of information I publish in my e-zine
instead of just a bunch of fluff and fillers.
And if you are not
inclined to become an "Active Subscriber" to my
list, do not even waste your time filling out the
subscription form.
Okay, I think I've ranted long enough, it's time
for me to give you more information about our e-zine.

***** Here's What Our
Readers Say About Us

Hi Tim,
Half the battle in succeeding online is to
separate the quality products and services
from the rest of the bunch.
You have a real knack for spotting such
quality - so your subscribers would do well
to listen to your advice!

Hi Skipper,
This is the ONLY newsletter I read, word by
word, to the end.
It's nice to know that there are actually
real people behind this and not human robots
trying to sell something with the same old
"grab the money and run" sales
pitches.
Thank you for this e-zine.
John Van Der Grift

Hey TeeJay,
I wanted to take this time to thank you for
a fantastic job you are doing.
There are so many pranksters out there in
the world and it seems that they are getting
more prevalent every day on the Internet.
Your articles are not only interesting, but
I find that they are thorough and very
informative.
They are easy to read. quick and simple, and
straight to the point
without all the drudgery of having to pull
out the dictionary about computers every
time I read one. In other words, you put
your articles in plain English and do not
use a bunch of "geek speek".

Hi Tim,
Your TeeJay's Tips For Success e-zine is one
of the few that provides education as well
as entertainment all in one.
I love it.
Please keep up what you are doing.

Dear TeeJay,
Have subscribed to many, have canceled most
(99.9%).
Your newsletter is great!
It's informative, interesting, humorous and
written with quality and style.
I look forward to reading each and every
edition.
More people need to read your stuff.
The Internet is a vast black hole, waiting
to swallow the unsuspecting, the newbies,
and the trusting.
I am so pleased you are on the web...to help
guard against crooks and other low lifes.

If You
Still Want To
Subscribe To Our E-zine
**** |
Our online edition, which is titled, TeeJay's
Tips For Success, is published on a bi-weekly
schedule, usually on Friday.
Would you like to see what you will be subscribing to?
To take a look at our current online edition of our "TeeJay's
Tips For Success" e-zine,
Please visit this page
Okay, I guess by now if
you've read this far down the page, you really are
intending to become an "Active Subscriber" and you are
not just another "One Shot Wonder".
We keep our subscription process as simple and as
un-complicated as possible.
All we ask for is your first name and your
valid e-mail address in our little form up there at the
top of the left sidebar.
PLEASE NOTE:
Our list management system
is a double opt-in system just like almost every other
subscription system on the Internet. This means that
once you fill in our little form with your first name
and a valid e-mail address and hit the "Subscribe"
button, you will almost immediately receive a
"Confirmation" e-mail in your inbox.
In order to complete your
subscription request and be added to our mailing list,
you will actually have to open that e-mail and click on
the confirmation link you'll find in the body of that
e-mail.
In order to make this as plain and simple as
possible, if you do not open your "Confirmation"
e-mail and click on the "Confirmation Link" in
that e-mail, you WILL
NOT be subscribed.
You would not believe the
amount of people we get that think all they have to do
to subscribe to our mailing list is just plug in their
first name and any old e-mail address and hit the
"Subscribe" button.
They never bother to check
their inbox for the "Confirmation" e-mail nor do they
even take time to open that e-mail and click on the
confirmation link.
Due to the many IP and
Email SPAM filters nowadays your confirmation e-mail may be blocked.
Try to avoid using Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail
e-mail accounts.
To ensure you receive your
welcome e-mail, please add these e-mail
addresses to your
email address white list on your e-mail
program.
admin@teejayenterprises.net
teejayenterprises@earthlink.net
If you are using spam blockers such as
SpamArrest, Earthlink, SpamBully, FilterMy,
KnowSpam, etc., make sure to take the
necessary steps to ensure our e-mails will
be accepted and sent to your inbox.
If you do not receive your
confirmation e-mail, please check your trash/spam
folders and if not found please contact us at the above
e-mail addresses..
Also, if you are currently using any kind of "Spam
Blocker" software, please make sure that you add
the domain name
www.teejayenterprises.net to your
list of approved senders or else you will not
receive your confirmation e-mail from our list
management software.
Click Here for White Listing Tips
Again, please do not use an
e-mail address from any of the following domains:
Hotmail.com
Yahoo.com
AOL.com
These domains have made it
almost impossible for your e-mails that you have
requested to be delivered to your inbox. So our system
has been set up to refuse any subscription requests
coming from these domains.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
