all! And Spring has sprung here in Florida! Or at
least that's what the weather guys are saying on
the evening news. But for those poor people up in
the St. Louis area who are suffering from all of
that flooding, our hearts go out to them and they
are in our prayers.
I've been rather
busy recently with a new project I've become
involved in. I recently signed up for some online
courses to become a Certified Webmaster.
It is really a very
interesting course and I'm learning a whole bunch
of new things that I can do with my Microsoft
Frontpage program.
Plus, it will help
to build my credibility for my website design
business that I got started around the beginning
of this year.
Okay, as I told you
in the last edition, I have several new projects
I'm working on and one of them is a big TEN YEAR
ANNIVERSARY sale of several new products I've
acquired recently. There will also be some of
my own products I've been working on for the last
few months that will be released to the public for
the first time.
I hadn't even
thought about it, but my wife reminded me the
other day that 2008 is our ten year anniversary of
working online in Internet Marketing and we have

way back in 1998.
I'll get into more
of the details on some of the upcoming projects in
the next edition which is scheduled to be
published on Friday, March 21st.

Myths and Misconceptions
About Starting an Online Business

Are you trying to
start an online business?
Are you
overwhelmed with the many online business
programs available or concerned that you'll
lose money by investing in them?
While many offers
sound too good to be true, there are some very
good ones available - but how can you be sure?
Learning to read
'between the lines' will better prepare you
for what's really involved.
Here are some common phrases used to promote
online businesses and what they really mean:
#1 - Simple & Easy
Simple and easy depends on who's speaking. A
doctor may tell you it's only a 'simple
procedure' but that doesn't mean that you
should attempt it yourself.
Many online businesses ARE simple to operate.
If you understand how it works you will be
amazed at the simplicity - but getting to that
point will require time and experience. You
may just need to try a few to get a 'feel' for
the business before deciding which one is
easiest for you.
Those who have learned from experience can
look back and see how simple it COULD have
been if they'd known what to do all along.
Finding a trustworthy guide can be a great
assistance to your business efforts.
#2 - Anyone Can Do This
Sorry - starting a business of any kind is
stressful and requires a learning curve. If
you are attempting an online business out of
desperation or the belief you will make easy
money you will face enormous obstacles. On the
other hand, if you are truly seeking a
business you can learn, work at and make a
living from, you will find something online
that fits your needs.
Studies of successful business people concur
that those who make it have common qualities
of persistence, patience and desire. These
qualities are essential when trying to start
an online business - do you have them?
#3 - Turnkey
The term 'turnkey' used to mean that a
business was set up and ready to go. You will
find the term in business classifieds where
the new owner can just step in and start
running the business. Unfortunately some
marketers use the term to suggest a business
is fully automated - that there is no work
involved.
There is always work involved. If the business
really is turnkey then you will begin work
right away because it has already been set to
go. If you want an automated business you will
have to do the work to make it automated.
Either way, nobody is going to hand you an
automated, turnkey business that makes money -
they had to do the work, so why would they
share it?
#4 - It Won't Cost Anything
You absolutely CAN set up an online business
with no money, but be prepared that a
combination of no money and lack of experience
will stifle your efforts immensely.
Most individuals who start or run a business
with no money have learned how to make use of
the best free techniques through experience.
They have paid their dues by trying businesses
that cost money. They have spent time in and
around their industry or market and they've
been able to see where they can cut costs.
If you are prepared to spend a LOT of time
researching before starting your business you
may be one of the few who does it right the
first time.
For most people

results - you just can't buy experience.

How To Set Up An Automated Filing System In
Your e-mail Inbox

Here's a little tip that I use all the time to
help keep my Outlook Express inbox well organized.
You'll remember in the
last edition, I showed you how to create new
folders in your e-mail inbox.
If you keep in mind
that your e-mail inbox is very much like a file
cabinet containing several drawers and the folders
I showed you how to create in the last edition are
the individual drawers of your filing cabinet.
Just to clarify this,
Let's assume you've created your filing cabinet
titled, "My Business Information".
Okay, then you've
created your individual drawers (folders) with the
various labels you want on them. For example, if
you are subscribed to several different e-zines or
affiliate programs, or membership sites, etc., you
might want to make a folder for each one of them
Now I'm going to show
you how to make your e-mail system do all of the
filing for you so you don't have to spend all of
that time filing all of your incoming e-mails in
the various drawers of your filing cabinet.
Okay, let's get
started creating an automatic filing system for
your inbox.
Open your e-mail client and highlight the message
you want to file.
Click on the "Message" option up in the top tool
bar.
Next, you will left click on "Create Rule From
Message" in the drop down menu.
A box will open up on your screen with the words
"New Mail Rule" at the top. You will have three
separate options in this box.
In the first option, you will want to check the
"Where the FROM line contains people" option.
In the second option, you will want to check the
"Move It To The Specified Folder". When you do
this, the specified folder will show up in the
third box.
If the name of the folder does not appear in the
"Specified Folder" section, just click on the word
"Specified Folder" and you will get a list of the
folders you've already created.
Once you have determined where you want the
incoming e-mail to be filed, just click on the
"OK" button and all of your future incoming
e-mails from that e-mail address will
automatically be filed in the proper folder.
But what if you already have bunches and bunches
of e-mails from that same e-mail address you just
created the rule for sitting in your inbox? How do
you get all of them filed into the folder without
physically moving each individual e-mail?
Funny you should ask that question, but I have the
answer to that one ready for you.
After you have created the "Message Rule" for that
particular message, just go back to your inbox and
click on the "Tools" option up in the top menu
bar.
You will see "Message Rules" in the drop down
menu. When you put your cursor on that, you will
get another little pop out menu that has three
options on it. They are "Mail" "News" and "Blocked
Sender's List". You want to click on the "Mail"
option.
You will see another box open up on your screen
with the list of folders you've already created.
Over on the right side of this box, you'll see the
option "Apply Now"
Make sure the folder you want all of those e-mails
to go to is highlighted and click on the "Apply
Now" option and all of your e-mails sitting in
your inbox will automatically be moved to the
specified folder.
That's all there is to it!
Pretty simple, huh?
Just remember, if you have any questions, or there
is something you just don't understand, you can
always drop me an e-mail and I'll be glad to walk
you thru the whole process.
You will be surprised
to see how much time this little tip will save you
and also help you keep from deleting an important
e-mail that you decided you wanted to keep for
future reference.

Running your own
home based internet business is a piece of
cake. Right?
You've probably heard how easy it is to rake
in tens of thousands of dollars practically
overnight, and how you can have all kinds of
"free time" and extra cash for traveling and
shopping at your favorite store...
Just throw up a web site, add a few
affiliate links, post to some forums and
presto - you're in the money!
But the reality is this. If you want to
succeed in your own home based Internet
business, whether it's affiliate marketing
or selling your own products, you will have
to work at making it successful. You have to
make it your job to succeed. You must treat
it as your job, not as your hobby.
It's great to think that with just a few
easy strokes you'll be running on
auto-pilot, bringing in loads of cash and
then on to the next venture.
But without some
simple planning and consistent effort you're
setting yourself up for failure.
Here are a few tips to help you get started.
STAY ORGANIZED
Set up folders in your e-mail client.
You should set up a folder for each contact
and keep important correspondence while
deleting what you don't need. If you belong
to membership sites that require passwords,
keep the "welcome" letters where you can
find them.
Set up folders on your desktop.
If you download a lot of software, e-books
or PDF books from specific individuals
simply name a folder on your desktop after
the author or site owner. Then when you
download something you can place it in their
folder.
Make your own HTML home page.
For quick and easy access to all your
important sites make up an HTML page with
hyperlinks to your most frequently used
sites along with a brief explanation of each
site. Keep it on your desktop for easy
access.
STAY FOCUSED
Set aside a specific time for work.
It could be from 7pm-9pm every day or
whatever time is good for you. During this
time do not get distracted from doing only
what needs to be accomplished for your
business. Try to use the same time slot
every day so you get into a routine and get
used to the working mindset. Save the
surfing for another time.
Set aside a work space.
Make sure that all your friends and family
know that when you're in your work area
you're off limits! No one is to bother you.
Finish one task before starting another.
As the old saying goes, "Put one foot in
front of the other." Don't start working on
something new until the first task is
completely finished.
BE CONSISTENT
Work the ideas that "work."
When you find something that works well for
you work it hard and get as much out of it
as possible. If you're submitting articles
to a certain site and they're paying
dividends, keep feeding the cycle.
Learn from failure.
Don't get discouraged. Each failure is just
another step in the learning process. Use
any failure to your advantage by taking the
lesson and applying it to your next venture.
Test, test, and more test.
Always test headlines and ad copy. A small
change can reap huge rewards.
With these few simple steps you will stay
organized, stay focused, be consistent in
your efforts and build a solid foundation on
which you can build your internet empire!

We use a "Double Opt-In"
subscription system which means there are TWO steps
to complete before you are added to our mailing

Step # 1
Scroll down to our little form below and enter your
first name and your primary email address
Step # 2
Within seconds after you click on the button at the
bottom of the form, you will receive a Confirmation
email from us. You must open that email and actually
click on the Confirmation link you will see in the
body of that email to complete your subscription
request.
That's all there is to it! Nothing complicated about

Try to avoid using Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail

necessary steps to ensure emails go through.

check your trash/spam folders and if not found
please contact us again.
To ensure you receive your welcome email, please add
