passed the 1450 mark. That's one heck of a
milestone for us.

since we have last published this e-zine.
I received a
surprise birthday gift from my oldest son, Jerry,
who is visiting with us since February 4th.
When he first came
down here, he told me he had a surprise lined up
for me. If you are a NASCAR fan, you know that
last weekend was the official opening of the 2008
racing season with all of the events going on at
Daytona.
Well, Daytona is
about a two hour drive for us from Ft. Myers. On
Wednesday afternoon, my son got a call on his cell
phone and he told me to go outside and check out
my birthday gift.
Much to my
surprise, two of Jerry's friends were sitting in
the parking lot of our condo in a beautiful and
monstrous motor home. They told me to get packed
with enough clothes to last a few days because
they were taking Jerry and me to Daytona for the
qualifying races on Thursday and all of the other
events up to and including the Daytona 500 big
race on Sunday.
We had a perfect
spot to watch all of the races and everything else
right from the top of the motor home parked in the
infield. We stayed right there at the track from
Wednesday afternoon until Monday afternoon.
We also got a
chance to meet a lot of the drivers and the pit
crews and the team owners up close and personal
and collected tons of autographs and pictures. We
also got a chance to see all of the activity in
the garage areas and all of the stuff that goes on
behind the scenes that you don't see on TV.
Needless to say, it
was a birthday gift that will go down in history
for me and Janis. We really had a grand time and
Jerry was so proud to introduce me to all of his
friends and he kept telling them that I'm a famous
person on the Internet. (Much to my embarrassment)
But we had a really great time and had tons of fun
the entire weekend and that's why this edition is
a week late.
Okay, as I told you
in the last edition, I have several new projects
I'm working on and one of them is a big TEN YEAR
ANNIVERSARY sale of several new products I've
acquired recently. There will also be some of
my own products I've been working on for the last
few months that will be released to the public for
the first time.
I hadn't even
thought about it, but my wife reminded me the
other day that 2008 is our ten year anniversary of
working online in Internet Marketing and we have
come a looooonnnng way since we first got started
way back in 1998.
I'll get into more
of the details on some of the upcoming projects in the next edition which is
scheduled to be published on Friday, March 7th.
I would also
strongly recommend that you keep a close watch on
your e-mail inbox for some major announcements

Okay, one other
little quick item I wanted to mention. I will be
taking off a little time next week, on Monday,
Feb. 11th, to be exact, because it is my 67th
birthday and my wife and I will be celebrating it
with a few friends.

informative articles for you in today's edition.
The feature
article, "Are

you good information on some of the ways to help
you make a living from the Internet.
The second article,

How To Set Up A Rolodex On Your Desktop

Here's a little tip that I use all the time to
keep the URL's I use on a regular basis right at
my fingertips.
If you put your cursor down in the right side of
the gray bar at the bottom of your screen and
right click, you should get a pop-up menu that has
the word "Toolbars" somewhere on it.
You'll also see a little arrow to the right of the
word "Toolbars". If you put your cursor on the
word "Toolbars", you'll get a second pop-out menu.
On that one, you'll see the word "Address". When
you left click on the word "Address", you'll
notice the word "Address" will appear on the far
right side of the gray bar at the bottom of your
screen.
If you put your cursor on the little vertical line
on the left side of the word "Address", you'll see
it turn into a double horizontal arrow.
If you left click and hold it, you can drag the
address bar to the left and open it up.
Just plug in a URL you want to have readily
available into the white area of the address bar
and hit the "Go" button and it will take you to
the site you want.
I use this little feature much like a little
Rolodex to keep a lot of the URL's I use on a
regular basis right at my fingertips.
It sure beats searching thru your
favorites list.
If your favorites list is anything like mine (like
the local phone book), it might take days to find
the URL for a particular site you are looking for.

starting out looking to make money from
their own home based internet marketing
business are drawn towards the affiliate
marketing arena with claims of easy money.
But is it really as easy as just sending
prospects to your affiliate link? In a word,
no. Nothing's that easy. There is work
involved. There's no such thing as a free
ride.
And most people that fail at affiliate
marketing are the ones that enter it with
that mindset. You, as an aspiring affiliate,
need to realize that it is still marketing
and as such you will need to hone your skill
set to achieve any level of success.
As with any product or service you must
advertise to make prospects aware of what
you have to offer. You can't just join a
program and hope that your link will be
clicked.
A successful affiliate applies many
different strategies. Most of these can be
used in any niche with a little altering to
fit that particular niche's parameters.
Here are a few tips on how to grow your
affiliate earnings.

You're the expert
Get to know the product you're promoting.
Research it as thoroughly as possible. If
it's feasible, buy the product and use it.
This gives you the advantage of working from
a position of superior knowledge. Write your

newsletters and ezines on the web today, and
for good reason. People who are passionate
about a certain subject will always welcome
more information on it as long as it's well
written and presented.
By building a relationship with your readers
you build their trust too. This is when you
can start recommending products and services
and when your affiliate profits will soar.
Simply send out an email every other week
with an article written by either yourself
or another expert along with some tips and
possibly a famous quote and you've got a
winning formula for a newsletter.
Capturing someone's email can also be
applied to giving away a special report or
product review so long as you let the person
know that you will be sending additional
emails.
All in all, these tips should help you
greatly increase your earnings in any
affiliate program in any niche.
